Settled off the pace in the early stages, Mutamarrid took cover behind the long-time leader Al Nasr Al Washeek (Toronado), with Al Shomos (Shamardal) tracking the pace in third and Alwaad (Trade Storm) positioned in midfield as the field established order through the early exchanges. As they straightened for the run-in, Al Nasr Al Washeek continued to dictate and looked set to make a bold bid from the front, with Al Shomos moving closer to challenge. However, Mutamarrid, travelling strongly just behind, angled out and produced a decisive turn of foot inside the final 200m, surging past the leader and quickly asserting to settle the outcome. He extended his advantage in the closing strides, sealing a comfortable success despite the weight and draw. Al Shomos, representing Saeed bin Mubarak Saeed Aljafali Al Naimi and from the Ahmed Kobeissi yard, with Mohammed Hassan Ali Alabdulmalik in the saddle, kept on well from a prominent position to take second, a length clear of the Khalifa Hamed Nasser Al Sawai-trained Alwaad, who finished strongly from midfield for Al Emadi Racing under Youssef Lachhab to claim third.

Bereit (More Than Ready) and Dawn Vega (Lope De Vega), along with Zero Mostel (No Nay Never), tracked the leader closely, with the trio disputing the minor positions as the order at the head of affairs remained largely unchanged through the early and middle stages. On straightening for home, the chasing trio attempted to close the gap and briefly loomed as potential challengers, but passing the 200m marker, Acclaim To Royalty found extra, quickening decisively to dismiss their challenge and surge clear. He powered away in the closing stages, turning the contest into a one-sided affair and sealing an emphatic success, while Dawn Vega weakened in the concluding stages, leaving the other two to take the minor honours. Jungle The Bank returns to winning ways with authority

Jungle The Bank (Bungle Inthejungle x Flaunting) landed the second race, a Thoroughbred Handicap (0–60) over 1200m (Class 6) for three-year-olds and upwards, a field of 13, drawing clear for a comfortable success. Windsor opens his account in emphatic fashion

Windsor (AF AlBahar x Al Amarah) landed the third race, a Local Purebred Arabian Maiden Plate over 1900m (Class 6) for four- to seven-year-olds, a field of 14, drawing clear by an impressive 6 lengths. The five-year-old grey gelding, drawn wide in barrier 11 and carrying the colours of Umm Al Shukhut Farm, was saddled by Ibrahim Khaled Elahmed and ridden by Alberto Sanna, who completed a quick-fire double, as he stepped up on recent placed efforts to shed his maiden tag at the 15th attempt in striking fashion.

Windsor raced prominently in the early stages, sitting just behind Farouq Alghania (Al Mamun Monlau), with Hdeedan (Mu’azzaz) and Molheb Al Meqdam (Dahash) also close up as the leading group formed. He soon moved forward to take control and set the pace, with the same trio tracking him as they approached the second turn, gradually closing in. Swinging into the home straight, it appeared the leading trio would engage in a sustained battle, but Windsor had other ideas, finding extra to assert and quickly stretch clear. He powered away inside the final 200m and continued to extend his advantage through the closing stages, leaving his two closest pursuers to fight it out for the minor honours. Hdeedan, representing Saeed bin Mubarak Saeed Aljafali Al Naimi and from the Ahmed Kobeissi yard, with Pierre Charles Boudot in the saddle, edged second by a short head from the Rashid Faleh Al-Hajri-owned Molheb Al Meqdam, trained by Owaida Salem Al Hajri and ridden by Faleh Bughenaim, the pair finishing clear of the remainder after a tight duel for the placings.

Breaking sharply, Hidalgo Du Croate settled just off the early leader Star One (Alsaker) before moving forward to take control though Damaah (AF AlBahar) soon pressed on to assume the lead. Thahan (AF AlBahar) improved into second, pushing Hidalgo Du Croate back to third while Navarzato (Majd Al Arab) advanced steadily to track the leading trio as the order at the head of affairs stabilised through the early and middle stages. At the top of the straight, Hidalgo Du Croate began to close in on Damaah, who responded well to maintain her advantage, the pair pulling clear of the remainder. Inside the final 100m, Damaah still looked set to prevail, but Hidalgo Du Croate produced a powerful late surge in the closing strides to overhaul her and assert close home. Damaah, representing Abdulaziz Saleh Al Jaber and from the Hadi Al Ramzani yard, with Alberto Sanna aboard, had to settle for second, a length ahead of the Al Ghazali Stud-owned Navarzato, trained by Mohammed Al Ghazali and ridden by Soufiane Saadi, who stayed on well from off the pace to take third.

Mushaakis broke well and was settled just off the pace, tracking the long-time leader Bint Al Hareth (Al Hareth), with Al Shareeah (Zelzal) and Harba Alseej (Danadana) close behind as the order remained unchanged through the early and middle stages. Approaching the final furlong, the leading trio still held sway and the race developed into a contest between them. Bint Al Hareth initially looked set to see it out, but her early exertions began to tell as Mushaakis moved forward strongly, taking over passing the 200m marker and drawing clear to seal the result with authority. Al Shareeah, representing owner-trainer Ibrahim Khaled Elahmed and with Alberto Sanna in the saddle, stayed on well to secure second, 1¼ lengths clear of the H.E. Meshaal Bin Ali Al-Attiyah-owned Bint Al Hareth, who faded late, but held on for third for the Mohammed Al Ghazali yard under Soufiane Saadi.

Za’eer Al Shahania edges thrilling blanket finish

Za’eer Al Shahania (Burning Sand x Ezaajh) landed the sixth race, a Local Purebred Arabian Handicap (75–95) over 1900m (Class 3) for four-year-olds and upwards, a field of five, prevailing by a head in the most dramatic finish of the evening, with just two heads separating the first three home. The five-year-old grey gelding, owned and trained by Osama Omer Al-Dafea and ridden by Faleh Bughenaim, bounced straight back to winning ways to record his fifth success of the campaign.

Galeb Al Shahania (Burning Sand) dictated the pace throughout, tracked by Bakir (Amer), Amersun (Amer), Za’eer Al Shahania and Aaneef Zakhir (Djendel), with the order virtually unchanged through the early and middle stages as the leader controlled proceedings. Approaching the final furlong, Galeb Al Shahania still held a commanding advantage and looked set to see it out, but the race took a dramatic turn inside the final 200m as Za’eer Al Shahania, Amersun and Aaneef Zakhir unleashed powerful late surges. The trio swept past the long-time leader almost in unison and charged to the line locked together, with barely a stride between them, producing a blanket finish of the highest order as the winning post came just in time for Za’eer Al Shahania. Amersun, representing Wathnan Racing and from the Alban de Mieulle yard, with Arnaud de Lepine in the saddle, was beaten only a head, just a further head ahead of the Osama Omer Al-Dafea-owned and trained Aaneef Zakhir, who was partnered by Salman Fahad Al-Hajri, completing a notable one-three for the stable.
