UAE Riders Shine in Show Jumping Events in Belgium and Germany

UAE rider Omar Abdul Aziz Al Marzouqi, riding Biarritz Z, topped the international competition for young jumping horses on Thursday evening, in an event featuring 79 horses. The competition was contested by seven-year-old horses over 1.30-metre fences and eight-year-olds over 1.35-metre fences.
The competition was held as part of the Opglabbeek International Show Jumping Event in Belgium, which runs from September 9 to 13. Third place went to SS Orania, ridden by UAE rider Salem Ahmed Al Suwaidi, as the UAE’s top riders continue their preparations for the 2026 Asian Games in Japan.
Filon WH, ridden by Humaid Abdullah Khalifa Al Muhairi, finished second with a clear round in the six-year-old young horses’ competition, which featured 42 horses.
The UAE national show jumping riders recently concluded a strong campaign at the four-star Münster International Show Jumping Event in Germany.

In the Grand Prix, Salem Ahmed Al Suwaidi finished fifth aboard Flonflon, with one penalty point, while Humaid Abdullah Al Muhairi placed sixth with Vonesti VD Heffink, also carrying one penalty point.
Omar Abdul Aziz Al Marzouqi finished ninth with BPS Megrogr, on four penalty points. He also took fourth place with the same horse in the Grand Prix qualifier, in addition to finishing second in the night competition aboard Chacco Boy.
The young jumping horses also competed in the combined final for seven- and eight-year-olds. Biarritz Z, ridden by Omar Abdul Aziz Al Marzouqi, finished fourth with a clear round and no penalty points.
Argentina de Kresker Z, ridden by Humaid Abdullah Al Muhairi, also competed in the final and finished ninth with four penalty points.
