Seven Wathnan Racing Runners Set for Major ParisLongchamp Challenges

Wathnan Racing will be strongly represented at ParisLongchamp on Saturday, October 3, 2026, with seven runners across five races on the opening day of the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe weekend.

The Wathnan Racing challenge begins in the Group 2 Qatar Prix Dollar over 1,950 metres, where First Look, trained by André and Lavinia Fabre, will be partnered by James Doyle, while Silawi, trained by Hamad Al Jehani, will be ridden by Pierre-Charles Boudot.

Sharpshoot then represents the famous blue and gold colours in the Qatar Prix de la Place des Vosges over 2,500 metres. Trained by Alban de Mieulle and ridden by Alexis Pouchin, Sharpshoot heads into the contest following two consecutive victories.

Attention then turns to Earth Shot, who steps onto the top-level stage in the Group 1 Qatar Prix de Royallieu over 2,800 metres. Trained by William Haggas and ridden by James Doyle, Earth Shot has already enjoyed a major success this season, winning the Group 2 Ribblesdale Stakes at Royal Ascot, and will now bid to add a first Group 1 title.

Wathnan Racing will also be represented in one of Europe’s premier staying contests when French Master lines up in the Group 1 Qatar Prix du Cadran over 4,000 metres. The John and Thady Gosden-trained runner will have James Doyle in the saddle as he tackles a high-class field of leading stayers.

The Wathnan Racing team concludes its programme with two runners in the Group 2 Qatar Prix Daniel Wildenstein over 1,600 metres.

Diego Ventura, trained by Hamad Al Jehani and partnered by Callum Rodriguez, arrives at ParisLongchamp after winning his latest start at Deauville, while multiple Group 1 star Fallen Angel, trained by Karl Burke and ridden by James Doyle, adds significant strength to the Wathnan challenge.

Fallen Angel brings outstanding top-level credentials to the contest, having already recorded five Group 1 victories during her career.

With runners contesting Group 1 and Group 2 races as well as a major handicap, Wathnan Racing heads into an important afternoon at ParisLongchamp with a powerful team on one of the biggest weekends of the international racing.
