Second Leg of Longines Hathab Tour Concludes on Saturday

The second leg of the 10th edition of the Longines Hathab Qatar Equestrian Tour continued on Friday at the Qatar Equestrian Federation’s indoor arena, featuring the Future Riders class over 70cm, the Open class over 110cm, and the Gold Tour individual and team competitions over 140cm.

Organized by the Qatar Equestrian Federation in partnership with Al Shaqab, the series runs through June 2027.

In the Future Riders class over 70cm, Ahmed Abdulrahman Al Abdallah claimed first place in 48.25 seconds aboard Mani. Ahmed Nasser Al Obaidli finished second in 48.27 seconds aboard Croat, while Mashael Mohammed Al Thani and Salman Talal Al Hassan shared third place, recording 47.61 seconds aboard Revy de Coeur and Tollybards, respectively. Ahmed Al Humaidi, Al Shaqab’s Horse Programs Adviser, presented the awards to the top three finishers.


Mohammed Abdullah Al Marri won the Open class over 110cm, clocking 21.96 seconds aboard Hannes. Yaqub Nasser Al Maas finished second in 22.83 seconds aboard Elio 4, while Hadi Mansour Al Shahwani took third place in 24.35 seconds aboard Mira.

In the junior category of the same class, Al Marri also claimed first place in 21.96 seconds aboard Hannes, followed by Al Maas in 22.83 seconds aboard Elio 4. Abdullah Faisal Al Mana finished third in 24.41 seconds aboard Aspire. Mohammed Saleh Al Marri, Chairman of the Championship’s Facilities and Logistics Committee, presented the awards.


In the Gold Tour individual competition, Khalid Abdulaziz Al Eid took first place in 28.62 seconds aboard Racker. Abdulaziz Fahad Al Eid finished second in 29.94 seconds aboard Q Hayn, while Mohammed Saeed Haidan placed third in 27.37 seconds aboard Ekaterina.

In the team competition, Bouthaila claimed the title with a combined time of 58.56 seconds. The awards were presented by Khujim Faraj Al Athba, Head of the Veterinary and Nutrition Section at the Qatar Equestrian Federation.

The second leg concludes on Saturday with the Future Riders class for competitors aged 12 to 16 over 90cm, followed by the Bronze Tour individual and team competitions over 120cm, before the Diamond Tour over 150cm.

The Longines Hathab Qatar Equestrian Tour comprises 14 legs held at the Qatar Equestrian Federation’s arenas and the Longines arenas at Al Shaqab. It is one of Qatar’s leading domestic equestrian competitions, with this year’s edition witnessing an increase in the number of participating riders across its various classes.

The “Mdmar” website which was Founded by Khaled Makhlouf in 2007 for horse and equestrian races is keen to cover and follow all competitions related to horses, from show jumping, Horseracing, speed and endurance races, and purebred Arabian horse beauty shows, which belong to the Arab Gulf countries at home and abroad in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and the State of Qatar, the State of Kuwait, the Sultanate of Oman, and the Kingdom of Bahrain.
