Old Is Gold Delivers Another Goodwood Victory for Wathnan Racing

Mdmar – London

Wathnan Racing celebrated another British success on Tuesday as Old Is Gold produced an impressive front-running performance to win the Virgin Bet Daily Price Boosts Handicap at Goodwood.

Trained by Andrew Balding and ridden by Oisin Murphy, the three-year-old lined up in the Class 4 handicap over six furlongs, contested by seven runners on soft ground.

Old Is Gold broke sharply and went straight to the lead, controlling the race from the front before stretching clear around two furlongs from home. Although his advantage was reduced inside the final furlong, he remained firmly in control all the way to the finish.

Brosay finished second, with Mister Bluebird taking third place.
