HM Alchahine: An International Winning Journey Crowned with Qatar Arabian World Cup Glory

Helal Alalawi’s HM Alchahine crowned his international campaign with victory in the Group 1 PA Qatar Arabian World Cup at ParisLongchamp on 4 October 2026. Trained by Élisabeth Bernard and ridden by Cristian Demuro, he completed the 2,000 metres in 2:13.84, beating Hajmah by three-quarters of a length, with Chdia third. The success made Bernard the first woman to train the winner of this prestigious championship.

The son of Al Mourtajez began with two Abu Dhabi victories on 9 November and 3 December 2023. Four more followed in 2024: the Abu Dhabi Championship on 11 January, two conditions races on 3 and 23 November, and a Listed success on 15 December, completing an unbeaten first six starts.

His 2025 achievements included the Group 1 PA Emirates Championship in Abu Dhabi, the Group 2 PA UAE President’s Cup races in Rome and Hamburg, and the Group 1 PA Qatar Cup–Prix Dragon at ParisLongchamp. He subsequently captured the Group 1 PA HH The President Cup in Abu Dhabi on 6 December.

In 2026, HM Alchahine won the Doha Cup–Prix Manganate at Deauville on 4 August, retained his Qatar Cup–Prix Dragon crown on 6 September, and secured the Qatar Arabian World Cup, taking his career tally to six Group 1 PA victories, including three consecutive successes at the highest level.

His record also includes second behind Al Ghadeer in the 2025 Qatar Arabian World Cup, third in HH The Amir Sword in both 2025 and 2026, and third in Abu Dhabi’s HH The President Cup in March 2026—further evidence of his standing among the world’s elite Purebred Arabians.
