Five Wathnan Racing runners at today’s York Festival

Mdmar – York

The second day of the prestigious York International Horse Racing Festival gets underway today at York Racecourse in England, featuring some of the world’s leading sprinting horses representing renowned studs and breeding operations from around the globe, as well as local owners.

As usual at major international meetings, Wathnan Racing will be strongly represented, with five notable runners competing across four races:

Alta Regina and Wild Blossom

In the opening race, the Sky Bet Lowther Stakes (Group 2) for two-year-old fillies, Wathnan Racing will be represented by Alta Regina (Sioux Nation / Red Saree), ridden by Callum Rodriguez and trained by Hamdan Al Jehani.

Also competing in the same race is Wild Blossom (Mehmas / Duchess Rose), ridden by James Doyle and trained by Karl Burke.

 Blue Brother

In the third race, the Sir Kevin Sinfield 7 in 7 Grand Final Handicap, Blue Brother (Intello / Audacious Girl) will represent Wathnan Racing, ridden by James Doyle and trained by Hamdan Al Jehani.

Earth Shot

In the Legends Global Yorkshire Oaks (Group 1) for fillies and mares aged three and older, Earth Shot (Time Test / Precious Ramotswe) will line up, ridden by James Doyle and trained by William Haggas.

A La Prochaine

In the British EBF & Sir Henry Cecil Galtres Stakes, for fillies and mares aged three and older, three-year-old A La Prochaine (Lope de Vega / Margies Music) will compete, ridden by James Doyle and trained by Ralph Beckett.
