Fifth Leg of Emirates International Endurance Village Series Gets Underway in Romania

The fifth leg of the Emirates International Endurance Village Series gets underway today, Saturday, in the Balkan region of Buftea, Romania.
The main endurance race covers 160 km over five stages: 39 km for the first stage, 33 km for the second, 39 km for the third, 28 km for the fourth and 21 km for the final stage. The event is being organized in cooperation between Emirates International Endurance Village, EIEV PULSE, and the Romanian Equestrian Federation, under the supervision of the FEI.
Seven additional races will be held alongside the main event over two days, with the competition organized by the Shagya Sports Club in Buftea.
The first day’s program features the two Balkan Championship races: a 120-km race and a 100-km race for young riders and juniors. The second day will feature the main 160-km race, along with a three-star international 140-km race and a two-star 121-km race.
Another two-star race over 121 km will also be held, as well as a one-star 103-km race and a one-star 103-km race for young riders and juniors.
The organizing committee confirmed that the veterinary inspection of the horses competing in the races has been completed to ensure their fitness and safety, with the final entry lists subsequently approved.
