Falah bin Zayed Approves Ghantoot Racing and Polo Club Calendar for 2026–2027

Sheikh Falah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Ghantoot Racing and Polo Club, has approved the club’s calendar of events and championships for the 2026–2027 sports season.

In a statement, the club said the calendar features a diverse range of sporting, community, national and heritage events, reflecting its mission to develop polo, support Emirati talent, promote the role of sport in serving the community, and strengthen the UAE’s position on the global polo map.

The season will get underway on October 31 with the Pink Polo event, held as part of breast cancer awareness initiatives and efforts to highlight the importance of early detection.

The club will mark UAE Union Day with the UAE National Day Cup, scheduled from November 14 to 28. The tournament will combine sporting competition with celebrations of the national occasion.

From December 1 to 5, the club will host its inaugural Junior Championship, aimed at discovering and developing Emirati talent, providing young players with a competitive environment in which to practice the sport, hone their skills and gain experience.

The events will continue with the Sultan bin Zayed Cup, running from December 8 to 19, with the aim of celebrating Emirati heritage and strengthening the integration of polo with the UAE’s heritage and culture.

The season’s competitive calendar will include the UAE International Championship, scheduled from January 18 to 30, 2027, followed by the Ghantoot International Championship from February 9 to 27, 2027. The latter is among the club’s largest tournaments and will mark the conclusion of the season’s competitive events.

On April 3, 2027, the club will host the Charity Polo Match, an initiative bringing together UAE Red Crescent Day and Hope for Polo under the banner “Polo for Good”, as part of the club’s community and humanitarian initiatives.

The “Mdmar” website which was Founded by Khaled Makhlouf in 2007 for horse and equestrian races is keen to cover and follow all competitions related to horses, from show jumping, Horseracing, speed and endurance races, and purebred Arabian horse beauty shows, which belong to the Arab Gulf countries at home and abroad in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and the State of Qatar, the State of Kuwait, the Sultanate of Oman, and the Kingdom of Bahrain.
