Emirates Racing Authority Announces 41 Horses for First Trial Race of New Season

The Emirates Racing Authority has announced the participation of 41 Purebred Arabian horses across seven races in the first trial meeting of the new 2026–2027 season, held at Meydan Racecourse in Dubai over a distance of 1,000 metres.

In a statement issued today, the Emirates Racing Authority said the opening trial produced impressive performances, with 37 horses making their first-ever racecourse appearance, while four others had previously competed in races.

Rashid Al Balooshi, a member of the Emirates Racing Authority’s Stewards Committee, said the notable success of the first trial meeting of the new season, and the participation of 41 horses, underlines the important role these trials play in improving the readiness and preparation of horses.

He added that the positive cooperation of owners, trainers and jockeys was a key factor behind the success of the event, further highlighting the strength of the UAE racing industry and its commitment to the highest international standards.
