Dubai Equestrian Club unveils 2026-27 endurance season calendar

The Dubai Equestrian Club has approved the calendar for the 2026-27 endurance season at Dubai International Endurance City, featuring a packed programme of races and championships running from October through April.
The season will get underway on October 30 with a qualifying ride over 40km and 80km, with competitions continuing through April 3, 2027.
The calendar features several major events, including the Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Endurance Festival and the Dubai Crown Prince Festival, as well as open, international and qualifying rides and competitions for private stables.
The Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Endurance Festival, scheduled for January 2027, will feature women’s and private-stable races, along with the Jameelaty Mares Cup. The festival will culminate in the 160km Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Cup, one of the season’s headline events.
Dubai International Endurance City will also host the Dubai Crown Prince Festival in March 2027. The event will include women’s and private-stable races and the Al Yamamah Mares Cup, before concluding with the 120km Dubai Crown Prince Cup.
The season will also feature the Seih Al Salam Challenge, Al Wasl races for private stables, Martyrs’ Day races for private stables, the Dubai International Endurance City Local-Bred event and the Trainers’ Cup, in addition to a series of qualifying and international competitions.
Sheikh Rashid bin Dalmook Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Equestrian Club, said the endurance season in Dubai continues to strengthen the emirate’s position as a leading global destination for the sport.
He said the new season builds on the strong support for equestrian sports and the UAE’s longstanding heritage in endurance racing, bringing together leading riders and stables in a competitive programme that reflects Dubai’s standing in the sport.
Ahmed Rashid Mohammed Al Kaabi, Director General and Board Member of the Dubai Equestrian Club, said the 2026-27 calendar highlights the diversity of endurance competitions at Dubai International Endurance City.
He said the programme covers a range of championships and races for different categories and distances, providing riders and stables with a broad range of competitive opportunities while meeting the highest organisational and technical standards.
