Al Thani and Al Jaber Claim Amateur and Silver Titles at Second Leg of Longines Hathab
Mdmar – Doha
The second leg of the 10th edition of the Longines Hathab Qatar Equestrian Tour got underway on Thursday, with the Amateur class at 100cm followed by the Silver Tour class at 130cm at the Qatar Equestrian Federation’s indoor arena.



Organized by the Qatar Equestrian Federation in partnership with Al Shaqab, the series runs through June 2027.
Nasser Hamad Al Thani claimed the Amateur class title, clocking 29.38 seconds aboard Equinox. Maryam Abdulkarim finished second in 30.02 seconds aboard Jumbo, while Al Qa’qa bin Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and Hessa Ali Al Jaber shared third place, each recording 31.85 seconds aboard Early Star and Barrel, respectively. The winners were presented with their awards by Saad Waheed Al Kuwari, Qatar’s eventing team manager.

In the Silver Tour class, Mohammed Yousef Al Jaber took first place in 32.69 seconds aboard Shot Gun. Hamad Nasser Al Qadi finished second in 33.68 seconds aboard Happy Tina, while Abdulaziz Fahad Al Eid placed third in 38.06 seconds aboard Real Star. Khalid Sanad Al Nuaimi, Al Shaqab League Director, presented the awards to the winners.

Competition continues on Friday with the Future Riders class for children aged 6 to 12 over 70cm, followed by the Open class over 110cm. The second day will conclude with the Gold Tour individual and team competitions over 140cm.

The Longines Hathab Qatar Equestrian Tour comprises 14 legs held at the Qatar Equestrian Federation’s arenas and the Longines arenas at Al Shaqab. It is one of Qatar’s leading domestic equestrian competitions.
