Al Sweidan Leads Pablo to Victory at Belgian International Show Jumping Event

UAE rider Salem Ahmed Al Sweidan, riding Pablo Escobar KJF, claimed the six-year-old horses title at the Opglabbeek competition in Belgium, held from September 9 to 13.

The event featured the main three-star competition, a one-star international competition, and another one-star competition for young show-jumping horses.

The victory came in the one-star class in a two-phase event over 1.25-meter obstacles. Al Sweidan completed the second phase without errors in 34.91 seconds. The runner-up was Donnanita P VGZ, ridden by German rider Michael Herout, who completed the second phase in 35.33 seconds.

Meanwhile, the UAE national team is preparing to travel to Japan to compete in the 2026 Asian Games, following a phased preparation program that began in Europe with a series of international competitions.

The preparation campaign has included the three-star international event in Le Touquet, France, followed by four- and five-star show-jumping competitions, culminating in the international events in Münster, Germany, and Opglabbeek, Belgium.
