Abdel Saïd Heads to Vienna as LGCT Championship Leader

Wathnan rider Abdel Saïd is set for another major challenge on the Longines Global Champions Tour, as the prestigious series heads to Vienna, Austria, from 24–27 September 2026, bringing together an elite international field for four days of five-star show jumping at the spectacular Schönbrunn Palace.
Saïd arrives in Vienna at the top of the 2026 LGCT Championship standings with 206 points, ahead of Germany’s Christian Ahlmann on 182 and Australia’s Edwina Tops-Alexander on 181, making the Austrian stage an important stop in the battle for the season title.
The Wathnan rider has enjoyed an outstanding campaign, highlighted by his victory in the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Cannes aboard Wathnan Zasou vom Claashof, a result that also secured his place in the LGCT Super Grand Prix in Riyadh.
Vienna will feature a world-class line-up including Max Kühner, Christian Ahlmann, Henrik von Eckermann, Scott Brash, Denis Lynch and defending Vienna Grand Prix winner Philipp Weishaupt, setting the stage for another highly competitive championship battle.
