Gethin begins the day for Wathnan in the Group 3 William Hill September Stakes at Kempton, staged over almost a mile and a half on the all-weather track at 2:50pm.
Trained by Owen Burrows and ridden by Callum Rodriguez, Gethin faces an important test against a strong field. The colt will attempt to return to his best following his latest appearance in the Coral-Eclipse, with the longer distance and return to a course where he has previously excelled expected to suit him.

At Thirsk, Proposal contests the British Stallion Studs EBF Fillies’ Handicap over seven furlongs at 3:15pm.

The Frankel filly, trained by William Haggas and partnered by Harry Davies, arrives following a creditable fifth-place finish at the Qatar Goodwood Festival. She finished that race strongly despite encountering interference during the closing stages and remains open to further improvement.

Attention then switches to Haydock, where Kind Of Blue and Paborus give Wathnan Racing a formidable two-pronged challenge in the £400,000 Group 1 Betfair Sprint Cup over six furlongs at 3:40pm.

Paborus, trained by Ed Bethell and partnered by Daniel Tudhope, drops back to six furlongs following his latest appearance over a longer distance in the Group 1 City of York Stakes. He made an impressive seasonal return by winning the Group 3 Chipchase Stakes at Newcastle and could prove a serious contender, particularly with the testing ground expected to suit him.

Saturday’s four runners underline the strength and versatility of Wathnan Racing’s British campaign, with several significant opportunities to add further Group-race success.
