Well-deserved honours for champions as 28th Qatar National Arabian Horse Show concludes

The 28th Qatar National Arabian Horse Show reached its finale on Sunday evening, with the championship contests for colts, fillies, mares and stallions held in the indoor arena of the Qatar Equestrian Federation. The event was organised by the Qatar Racing & Equestrian Club (QREC), chaired by Mr Hamad bin Abdulrahman Al Attiyah, with the gold, silver and bronze medallists crowned at the conclusion of each division.

Makkah Aljassimya

After four days of outstanding presentations from the participating horses, the final championship rounds delivered decisive results. In the Yearling Fillies Championship, Makkah Aljassimya, representing Aljassimya Farm, claimed the gold medal. Falwa Al Shaqab, owned by Al Shaqab (Member of Qatar Foundation), secured silver, while bronze went to Eman Aljassimya, also from the Aljassimya Farm programme. Trophies were presented by Saeed Hamad Al Rashdi, Head of QREC Stables Section.

Raheeb Lembarak

In the Yearling Colts Championship, Raheeb Lembarak, owned by Mohammed Mobarek Al-Suliti, took gold. The silver medal was awarded to Nahar Abher, carrying the banner of Abher Stud while OB Aseel, representing Al Obayyah Stud, earned bronze. The awards were presented by Majid Nasser Al Kaabi, Show Director.

Al Bandari Aljassimya

The Junior Fillies Championship saw Al Bandari Aljassimya, competing for Aljassimya Farm, secure the gold medal. Adhwa Al Shaqab, campaigned by Al Shaqab (Member of Qatar Foundation), captured silver, and Sabha Al Khor, from Al Dawasir Stud, claimed bronze. The winners were honoured by Mr Saad Ali Al Kubaisi, Deputy Show Director.

AJ Tayam

In the Junior Colts Championship, AJ Tayam, owned by Nasser Mohammed Al Hajri, produced a commanding performance to take gold. The runner-up, Sami Al Zobair, representing Najd Stud, earned silver, while Faris Al Nasiat, showing for Al Dana Stud, completed the podium with bronze. Awards were presented by Khaled Al-Jehani, Director of Breeding and Show at Al Shaqab.

Shadia Al Nasser

In the Senior Mares Championship, Shadia Al Nasser, from Al Jazeel Stud, was crowned gold medallist. D Fala, representing Al Salem Stud, secured silver and Jamellat Nudrah, competing for SK Arabians, took bronze. The prizes were awarded by Rashid Ali Al-Kuwari of Al Shaheen Stud.

Badi Athbah

The Senior Stallions Championship brought the show to a close, with Badi Athbah, carrying the banner of Al Jazeel Stud, winning gold. D Daffer, from the Al Salem Stud, earned silver while Bahi Al Jaham, representing Al Jaham Stud, collected bronze. Awards were presented by Saeed Hamad Al Rashdi, Head of QREC Stables Section.

2nd Al Rayyan National Peninsula Horse Show

With the conclusion of the 28th Qatar National Arabian Horse Show on Sunday, attention turned on Monday, 24 November, to the indoor arena of the Qatar Equestrian Federation, where QREC launched the 2nd Al Rayyan National Peninsula Horse Show. The three-day event is dedicated exclusively to Arabian Peninsula horses and has drawn 174 entries from leading studs, including including Sheikh Thamer bin Mishaal Al Thani’s Stud, Doha Stud, Al Jazeel Stud, Hleetan Stud, Al Hamama Stud, Al Jood Stud, Sheikh Tamim bin Issa Al Thani’s Stud and Al shabaniyah Stud.
