Valkenswaard hosts Longines Global Champions Tour of Cannes in June

Valkenswaard will host the Longines Global Champions Tour of Cannes from 4 – 6 June 2021 it can be announced today.
The city of Cannes on the French Riviera has been a fixture on the LGCT global circuit, but in the current circumstances, it was not possible to prepare the event to meet all the latest safety regulatory requirements.
The decision to provide the new venue reinforces the strong commitment to show jumping at the highest level. It ensures the world class international event can go ahead and that riders, owners, fans and all stakeholders are able to compete and enjoy the best in show jumping. With over 500 permanent stables and several sand arenas with top quality footing, the venue is hosting its biggest number of events this year.

Fans can anticipate a thrilling fourth leg of the LGCT and GCL championship as the race hots up. The world’s top riders and horses will compete on the stunning, brand new grass arena at the purpose-built venue in Valkenswaard.
The change of venue from Cannes to Valkenswaard is in addition to the already planned LGCT of Valkenswaard from 20 – 22 August.
Fans can look forward to a feast of show jumping at the next events of Madrid (21 – 23 May) and Ramatuelle, Saint-Tropez (27 – 29 May) before heading to Valkenswaard (4 – 6 June), which will be broadcast on the innovative new GCTV streaming service with live coverage, back stage insights, special analysis and multi-language commentary.
