QREC conclude participation in Salon du Cheval tomorrow

The Qatar Racing & Equestrian Club (QREC) will conclude their participation in the 11th edition of the Salon du Cheval d’ElJadida, Morocco tomorrow, Sunday, 21 October 2018. Held under the patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morocco and platinum-sponsored by QREC, the 2018 renewal of the seven-day long Salon has had the theme of the ‘Equestrian Sports in Morocco. The finale day will see various activities and events in presence of a large number of the senior management of the Moroccan Royal Equestrian Federation led by Prince AbdellahAlaoui as well as the participating delegations representing 28 countries, especially as the finale day always attracts huge turnout every year.

Tomorrow’s programme will include the His Majesty King Mohammed VI International Show Jumping Grand Prix Competition and the final round of the

the His Majesty King Mohammed VITbourida Grand Prix. The latter is most important national event of the Salon, and the one with the highest prize money as well, as it’s closely associated with the Moroccan heritage.

As the 11th renewal of the annual Salon du Cheval d’ElJadida will culminate with such events, the curtain will also fall on QREC’s participation in the Salon, which indeed develops one year after another in terms of the number of the participating countries, the scale of the associated events and competitions as well as the number and quality of horses in various equestrian disciplines.

 

QREC delegation to the 2018 edition of the Salon consisted of His Excellency Issa bin Mohammed Al Mohannadi, QREC Chairman, Nasser bin Sherida Al Kaabi, QREC General Manager, Khalid bin Mohammed Al Ali, QREC Board Member, Abdulla bin Rashid Al Kubaisi, Racing Manager, Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Ali, Head of Riding & Training Section, Hassan bin Abdulla Al Manai, Head of Horse Show Section, and Jawaher Sultan Al Suwaidi, Head of PR and Media Section.
