One Nation (Dubawi x Lacey’s Lane) continued his outstanding season with a polished and confident display to capture the Brooq Cup, a Thoroughbred Handicap (85–105) for 4YO+ over 1900m (Class 2), run with 5 runners. The 5YO chestnut gelding, racing for Hamed Ali Al Mulla, trained by Ahmed Al Jehani and guided by Arnaud De Lepine, secured his third straight win from four starts this season, scoring by a tidy 2 lengths.

Nuvolari (Time Test) was quickest into stride from barrier 1 and held the early lead, before Cei Connah (El Kabeir) pressed forward to take over. One Nation sat neatly between the pair, travelling smoothly while biding his time behind the tempo. The order remained unchanged leaving the back straight, with Cei Connah still in front and One Nation poised in third. Once in the home straight, De Lepine asked his mount to quicken and One Nation’s response was immediate. He swept past the front pair with ease, asserted clear control and stretched away for a cosy and convincing win. Dubawi Spectre (Dubawi), last year’s winner for H.E. Mansoor bin Ebrahim Al Mahmoud and trainer Gassim Al Ghazali under Marco Casamento, finished powerfully from off the pace to claim second. A further 4¼ lengths back came Local Law (Dubawi), staying on well for Saif Rashid Saif Al Khayarin and trainer Hamad Al Jehani under Pierre Charles Boudot to take third.

Lord Deputy powers clear to open his account in style
Lord Deputy (Dubawi x Divine Blessing) confirmed the promise of his late-October debut when finishing third, returning to Al Rayyan for Race 1, the Thoroughbred Maiden Plate for 3–7YOs over 1700m (Class 6), run with 13 runners. The 3YO bay gelding, representing Al Ghazali Stud, trained by Gassim Al Ghazali and ridden by Marco Casamento, broke his maiden at the second time of asking, drawing right away for an authoritative 4-length victory.

Although North Audley (Cable Bay) broke sharply and briefly held the lead, his rider soon eased him back as the jockeys of the eventual first three finishers opted not to press early. Pour La Vie (Time Test) dictated the pace through the opening stages, tracked by Our Bank (Mehmas), Sooraym (Lope De Vega) and The Hrse Horse (Invincible Spirit) up to the 800m mark. At that point, North Audley swept back around rivals to reclaim the lead, with Allegorical (Study Of Man) improving sharply into third and then into second as they straightened for home. But the decisive move was still to come. From just behind midfield, Lord Deputy unleashed a blistering acceleration, rapidly moving into second and immediately engaging North Audley in a brief, but fierce, duel. Within strides, he shifted into another gear entirely, forging away in the final 100m to win with authority. Atlantic Convoy (Galileo), running for and saddled by the same trainer as the runner-up, also improved through the straight to close on the leading pair, but had no chance of catching them, finishing another 4 lengths behind North Audley.
Mashhoor sweeps past rivals for decisive win
Mashhoor (Siyouni x Life On Mars) took a significant step forward on his second start of the season, proving that his earlier run served merely as preparation, with a commanding performance in Race 2, the Thoroughbred Handicap (55–75) for 3YO+ over 2500m (Class 5), contested by 11 runners. The 5YO bay gelding, racing for Saif Rashid Saif Al Khayarin, trained by Ahmed Al Jehani and partnered by Saleh Faraj Al-Otaibi, powered home for a convincing 3-length success.

Breaking cleanly from barrier 2, Mashhoor was restrained early and settled second last, with his jockey clearly intent on conserving energy for the long route. Up front, Liable (Frankel) controlled a steady pace for the majority of the race, with Pockett Rockett (Cotai Glory), Beat The Clock (Time Test) and later Smart Contender (Shamardal) tracking in close order. The race remained largely unchanged until approaching the home turn, where Smart Contender pressed forward to take over, with Owners Dream (Time Test) and Beat The Clock poised just behind. But the complexion changed swiftly once they straightened. Having made gradual headway before the bend, Mashhoor shifted through the gears impressively in the home straight. He swept past the leading trio with purpose, hit the front in decisive fashion and drew clear to put the race to bed well before the line. Loaded Gun (Magna Grecia), racing for Khalid Nasser Al-Attiya and trained by Gassim Al Ghazali under Marco Casamento, made a late, sweeping run of his own to secure second while It’s A Hot One (Too Darn Hot), representing Hassan Ali Alabdulmalik for trainer Debbie Mountain under Mohammed Hassan Ali Alabdulmalik, finished strongly from midfield to claim third, 1½ lengths behind the runner-up.
Maximus Alexios cruises clear on return to dirt

Maximus Alexios (Kodiac x Yajala) thrived once again on the dirt surface to capture Race 3, the Thoroughbred Handicap (60–80) for 3YO+ over 1200m (Class 4), featuring 13 runners. The 3YO bay colt, representing H.E. Mansoor bin Ebrahim Al-Mahmoud, trained by Gassim Al Ghazali and ridden by Marco Casamento, produced a commanding display to win by 4½ lengths, completing an early double on the day for both trainer and jockey.

Breaking from a wide draw in barrier 10, Maximus Alexios was quickly into stride, settling in fourth before moving into second behind the early leader Torvar (Footstepsinthesand), with Axis (Oasis Dream) racing just behind them. As they passed the first turn, he asserted himself, sweeping forward to take the lead while Shakour (Declaration Of War) improved into second and Torvar began to fade. Approaching the home turn, Maximus Alexios continued to build momentum, steadily increasing the tempo. Once straightened, he unleashed his full speed, powering clear and leaving no doubt about the outcome, stretching away decisively for a commanding victory. Behind him, Vedute (Holy Roman Emperor), running for Hassan Ali Alabdulmalik and trained by Ahmed Kobeissi under Mohammed Hassan Ali Alabdulmalik, produced a late run to secure second by a narrow quarter-length margin from Lowton (Pivotal), who stayed on for third for Swish Syndicate and trainer Ibrahim Saeed Al Malki with Lukas Delozier aboard.
Al Kazim explodes clear for dominant victory
Al Kazim (Al Mamun Monlau x Gaswa) delivered a devastating performance to capture Race 4, the Purebred Arabian Handicap (60–80) for 3YO+ over 1900m (Class 4), run with 12 runners. Breaking from a wide barrier 10, the 5YO bay horse, racing for Sheikh Ahmad bin Mohamed bin Faleh Al-Thani, trained by Gassim Al Ghazali and ridden by Marco Casamento, continued his outstanding seasonal form, adding a commanding victory to his earlier placings. He scored by an emphatic 7½ lengths, sealing a third win of the day for both trainer and jockey in just the fifth race of the card.

The contest quickly shaped into a duel among the sons of Al Mamun Monlau. Al Kazim settled in midfield early as M’tawa El Saa’yeb (Jaafer ASF) and Hidalgo Du Croate (Al Mamun Monlau) took turns at the head of affairs, with Alhafar (Al Mamun Monlau) positioned handily just behind them. Through the middle stages, Hidalgo Du Croate asserted himself and looked comfortably in control nearing the home turn, stretching 3 lengths clear of his nearest pursuer. But the picture changed dramatically once they straightened. With 300m to go, Casamento unleashed Al Kazim, and the response was instant and explosive. The bay horse surged past rivals with ease, swept to the front, and immediately began to draw away, turning the final furlong into a procession. No rival could offer even the thought of resistance as he widened the margin with every stride. Alhafar, representing Ahmed Hassan Al Malki Al-Jehani for trainer Hamad Al-Jehani under Arnaud De Lepine, stayed on for second while Hidalgo Du Croate held on for third for Al Rakaben Stud and Dr. Fahad Salman Al-Hajri under Mohammed Moussa, finishing 2½ lengths behind the runner-up.
Khaled Al Shahania strikes again in dominant style
Khaled Al Shahania (Assy x Haleda) continued his excellent 2025–26 campaign with another commanding display in Race 5, the Local Purebred Arabian Handicap (60–80) for 3YO+ over 1200m (Class 4), run with 12 runners. Breaking from the widest draw in barrier 12, the 5YO bay horse, racing for Al Meqdam Racing, trained by Maayouf bin Hashim Al-Shamari and ridden by Salman Fahad Al-Hajri, powered home impressively to secure his second win of the season, adding to two earlier placed efforts in five starts. He upheld the day’s trend of wide-margin victories, scoring by 5 lengths.

After jumping from the outside gate, Khaled Al Shahania was guided into a handy position, settling first in third and then in fourth. Up front, Roqayya (Alam Al Khalediah) and Jalila Alghania (Al Mamun Monlau) traded the lead through the early and middle stages, with Al Yaseen Zakhir (Al Mamun Monlau) tracking them closely and the eventual winner just behind. Around the home turn, Jalila Alghania still held the advantage, but the scene shifted rapidly once they straightened. Khaled Al Shahania swept forward with a powerful, sustained run, taking the lead early in the straight and immediately drawing clear. From that moment, the race was over as a contest. He continued to widen the gap with each stride, delivering a dominant and polished performance. Munhamik (Mared Al Sahra), running for Nasser Owaida Salem Al Hajri and trained by Owaida Salem Al Hajri under Abdulla Rashid Al-Hajri, stayed on strongly from midfield to take second, half a length ahead of Afandem (AF AlBahar), who also finished well for Nasser Hamad Al Naimi and trainer Ahmed Kobeissi under Mohammed Hassan Ali Alabdulmalik.
Maysara stays perfect this season
Maysara (Dubday x Jamboretta) extended her unbeaten seasonal record to two-from-two with a commanding display in the Local Thoroughbred Handicap (0–80) for 3YO+ over 1200m (Class 2), contested by 8 runners. The 5YO chestnut mare, racing for Mohammed Abdulhadi Al-Hajri, trained by Hamad Al-Jehani and ridden by Pierre Charles Boudot, made full use of barrier 1 to secure a stylish success by 4½ lengths, confirming the day’s wide winning margin trend.

Maysara broke cleanly and settled in second before briefly slipping back to fifth as Doghan (Windsor Palace) set the early tempo, with Al Nasr Al Washeek (Toronado) taking over after the first turn and Mutamarrid (Youmzain) positioned between them. Approaching the final bend, Maysara began to advance, moving smoothly into third. Once in the home straight, she shifted gears impressively, sweeping to the front and immediately asserting her superiority. From there, she drew clear with ease to dominate the finish. Mutamarrid, representing Injaaz Stud for trainer Jihad El Ahmad under Alberto Sanna, kept on for second but was never in a position to challenge the winner. Neshan (Redback), owned and trained by Abdulrahman Mohammed Abdulwahed and ridden by Salman Fahad Al-Hajri, finished strongly from midfield to take third, although still 5¼ lengths behind the runner-up.
