In light of the festival’s growing prestige, Malika Mohammed Al Shraim, Director of the Marketing Department at Katara and Secretary of the KIAHF Organizing Committee, highlighted how the Katara Arabian Horse Auction has now adopted rigorous selection criteria, ensuring only the finest entries qualify. “Participation is no longer a simple process,” she said.
“Each horse is evaluated with precision by specialized experts, making it a truly selective and prestigious event.” She also revealed that this year’s auction would include, for the first time, an exclusive collection of artworks, paintings, and sculptures by internationally renowned artists, alongside charity auctions supporting humanitarian initiatives.
Al Shraim also emphasized the tremendous growth of the Arabian Peninsula Horse Show, attributing the surge in participation and audience numbers to the increasing appreciation for purebred Arabian horses. “The festival has evolved remarkably since its first edition in 2020,” she said. “Each year, we challenge ourselves to raise the bar in terms of organization, logistics, and fairness in competition.

The rising number of spectators, from casual enthusiasts to stable owners, is a testament to the festival’s success.” She further noted that the Global Champions Arabians Tour, which began in Ajman before making its second stop in Katara, was a direct result of KIAHF’s international impact.
As the festival progresses, the Katara International Arabian Horse Festival continues to solidify its status as one of the world’s most prestigious celebrations of Arabian horse heritage.
With record-breaking participation, mesmerizing performances, and an expanding global footprint, KIAHF 2025 is proving once again why Qatar remains at the heart of equestrian excellence.
