Hamad Al Attiyah: Sheikh Joaan supports Qatar’s equestrian sport
Hamad bin Abdulrahman Al Attiyah, President of Qatar Equestrian Federation, stated the presence of His Excellency Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani at the Qatar Goodwood Festival represents considerable support to Qatar’s equestrian sport and to the organisers of the prestigious event.
“One edition after another, it is more confirmed that the vision of the officials in sponsoring this prestigious Festival has been far-sighted”, said Al Attiyah following the races of the second day of the Festival, “In fact, the Festival has become one of the best horseracing festivals in the United Kingdom. The rates of participation and turnout increases one day after another, which is in turn in favour of the Festival, which Qatar has chosen to sponsor in order to attain more and more success for Qatar’s equestrian sport.”
“I would like to congratulate His Excellency Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani for Medahim’s win in race 8 today and for Watan’s win yesterday. In fact, Al Shaqab is very distinguished in this type of races. In addition, Qatar Racing’s win of Qatar Sussex Stakes adds to value of Qatar’s equestrian sport and horse racing worldwide, particularly as that race is one of the toughest for Thoroughbreds in the world. I would like also to thank all the sponsors who have partnered us and the officials of Goodwood Racecourse for their cooperation and commitment to attain the highest level of organisation, contributing to massive benefits of Qatar’s sponsorship of such a fantastic event,” concluded Al Attiyah.
