Maintaining her 100% strike-rate at the course, CREEDMOOR (GB)(Invincible Spirit x Vorda), owned by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Khalifa AlThani, took the Prix Jean Larrein fine style at Mont-de-Marsan on Wednesday, 21stJuly.
Trained by PhillipeSogorb and ridden to success again by Alejandro Gutierrez-Val, CREEDMOOR scored for the second time at the racecourse on her fourth startin France, having previously been trained by Roger Charlton in the UK.
A quick break from the stalls saw inthe 1,400-metre Class 2 race for 3YOs, CREEDMOOR was placed directly behind race leader NOELLE (FR) (Penny’s Picnic x Noella) in the early stages. With a strong pace being set, CREEDMOOR settled well and always looked comfortable. Approaching the final 600 metres,she ranged upsides long-time leader NOELLE and began to pull clear from her rivals once asked for an effort by Gutierrez-Val. CREEDMOOR stuck on well inside the final 200 metre and held off a strong challenge fromAZUR AS WELL (FR) (Penny’s Picnicx Stormy Queen) to win by a length at the line. AZUR AS WELL finished second for trainer CharlesGourdainand jockey MaximeFoulon. The AdélaïdeBudka-trained and Delphine Santiago-riddenSELKET (IRE)(Danon Ballade xBonne Nouvelle) finished third but was never nearer as she was further a length and three quarters behind.
