Equestrian Excellence and Family Entertainment On Offer At CHI AL SHAQAB 2019
The stage is being set as Al Shaqab prepares to host CHI AL SHAQAB 2019 – a tribute to Qatar’s rich equestrian tradition

– An exhilarating mix of equestrian excellence and fun-filled family entertainment will wow spectators at CHI AL SHAQAB 2019.
The signature event of Al Shaqab, member of Qatar Foundation, CHI AL SHAQAB 2019 takes place from 7-9 March.
First held in 2013, CHI AL SHAQAB is the only equestrian competition of its kind in the Middle East and Asia region to be sanctioned by the International Equestrian Federation, and features Showjumping, Dressage and Para Dressage. The event regularly attracts the best athletes and horses from around the world to Qatar, including Qatar’s Sheikh Ali Bin Khalid Al Thani, Australia’s Edwina Tops-Alexander, Britain’s Scott Brash and Turkey’s Omer Karaevli.
CHI AL SHAQAB 2019, which has Exxon Mobil as the main sponsor, is one of two world-class, back-to-back equestrian competitions scheduled to take place at the spectacular Al Shaqab venue. The opening leg of the Longines Global Champions Tour (LGCT) 2019 series, also a three-day event, is scheduled to take place from February 28-March 2. Between the end of the LGCT competition and the start of CHI AL SHAQAB 2019, the multipurpose venue will continue to keep its doors open to the public, with an exciting Festival Area offering an array of fun and entertainment activities for adults and children alike.
