Are you ready for 2020? Tops International Arena is!

2020 will see the world class venue host five major show jumping events throughout the spring and summer, welcoming riders and horses of all levels from around the world to its spectacular facilities.  

After a highly successful first edition, the ‘Longines Global Future Champions’ will be back in July, allowing the next generation of riders and horses to yet again showcase their talent on a world class stage. 

This year again for two exciting weeks, Tops International Arena will host young international riders, from as young as 12 up to 25 years of age, resulting in an extremely varied schedule and allowing the up and coming talents to compete amongst the world’s best riders present with their young horses.

Furthermore, after the success of last years’ May events, the early week competitions are back, with 2 consecutive weeks giving riders the opportunity to compete their youngsters in ideal conditions, without interfering with their already busy weekend show schedule.

CSI1* CSI2* CSIYH1*: 11th–13th & 18h–20th May 2020

The 2020 season at Tops International Arena Events will kick off with two consecutive weeks in May with 2*, 1* and Young horses classes taking place from the Monday to Wednesday.

Provided as it is with different horses, riders will be able to compete in both the 1* and 2* in addition to bringing maximum of 6 Young Horses.

From the 11th to the 13th and the 18th to the 20th  there will be daily classes for 5-6-7 year olds, as well as a small, medium and big tour in the 1* classes (1.10-1.35m) and in 2* classes, (1.35 -1.45m), including one Longines Ranking Class a day.

A variety of Two Phases Special, Against the Clock and Jump Off classes will be run on both sand arenas.

Longines Global Future Champions Week

Young Horses 5-6-7-8 and CSI2* – 27th-29th July 2020

CSIU25 – CSIY – CSIJ – CSICh – CSIP – 31st July- 02nd August 2020

The Longines Global Future Champions Week will
kick off by focusing on the Young Horses, with the YH2* offering all four age categories and a total money of more than 100.000€ for these three days. It is an excellent opportunity for riders, breeders, studbooks and visitors to come and compete or watch the future equine stars.

Running alongside these young horse classes, riders will also be able to bring their other horses to compete in CSI2*, with varied classes and a well-designed schedule allowing them to easily compete with multiple horses in different categories.

The rest of the week will make place for the next generation of riders who will be able to profit from the world class facilities in order to gain valuable experience during the three days of competition. With multiple classes a day in each category, the young riders will be able to compete with two horses, providing great sporting moments for the public coming to watch the future stars of the sport.

Longines Global Champions Tour of Valkenswaard:

CSI5* LGCT-GCL – CSI2*- CSI1*- CSIYH1*  21st- 23rd August 2020

The 16th leg of the Longines Global Champions Tour comes to its spiritual home in Valkenswaard from the 21st-23rdAugust.

The CSI2*, CSI1* and Young horse classes allow the 5* riders to make the most of this state-of-the-art venue by bringing along their other less experience horses, whilst also giving the opportunity for other riders to measure themselves against the world’s best riders.

The superb facilities created by Longines Global Champions Tour founder and president Jan Tops have reached new heights following a development cementing the venue as the epicenter of equestrianism in Europe.
