Al Shaqab amazes in Morocco 4 gold medals confirm success of Qatari participation in Salon du Cheval
El Jadida – Morocco
Adding to the successful Qatari participation in the Salon du Cheval d’ElJadida, being held and QREC-platinum sponsored in Morocco, Al Shaqab, Member of Qatar Foundation, had a lion’s share at the awarding ceremony of the Morocco International Purebred Arabian Horse Show. Al Shaqab’s horses landed four of a total of six gold medals on the finale of the Show. Such domination is but another demonstration of Al Shaqab’s leadership in pure Arabian horse shows.
Al Shaqab simply amazed everyone at the Salon, especially with other excellent competitors from Morocco, Spain and France. Al Shaqab dominated since the very first competition when GALLIBA AL SHAQABdeservedly won the gold medalof the Yearling Fillies Class.
That was just beginning as it was soon followed by another gold medal by UM GARIBA AL SHAQAB in the Two and Three-Year-Old Fillies Class.
Al Shaqab continued dominance in the Mares Class with a third gold medal landed by AAIDA AL SHAQAB.
That was not all yet as a fourth gold medal was to be added to Al Shaqab’s tally. It was HAGRAS AL SHAQAB who had his final word in Two and Three-Year-Old Colts Class. Moroccan model and actress Leila Hadioui presented the medals to the winners in this class.
While Al Shaqab had no horses competing in the Yearling Colts Class or the Stallions Class, it was MARSAL AL SHAQAB who won the latter. MARSAL AL SHAQAB is owned by Le Haras Royal de Bouznika at present.
Sheikh Hamad bin Ali: Al Shaqab is a global leader
His Excellency Sheikh Hamad bin Ali Al Thani, Al Shaqab Breeding and Show Manager, was elated with these victories at the conclusion of the Morocco International Purebred Arabian Horse Show. ‘Congratulations to the people of Qatar for these brilliant victories, which re-confirmed Al Shaqab’s global leadership in this discipline, he said, ‘They also demonstrate Al Shaqab’s ability to dominate at international shows. We had only six horses in this Show and we eventually won four champion titles as well as a bronze medal. Al Shaqab also did not participate in the Stallions or the Yearling Colts classes. Given these facts and the total number of the gold medals we have won, we can say our success in this Show has surpassed all expectations as won the gold of every class where we participated.’
‘Now, we will head to the USA to participate in the international horse show there. Our next stop will be the World Championship in France next month where we will participate with FADI Al SHAQAB only in the Platinum Competition. We will present more and even better over the coming years in order to maintain the global leadership of Al Shaqab in this field. We will also work towards improving the quality of our breeding, which we, in Qatar, are already proud of, especially as the Stallions Champion title of this International Show, here in Morocco, went to MARSAL Al SHAQAB’, added His Excellency Sheikh Hamad bin Ali Al Thani.
