Al Mohannadi: We aim to contribute to success of Salon and more cooperation with Morocco
El Jadida – Morocco
The events of the Salon du Cheval d’ElJadida continue in Morocco. The week-long Salon is being held under the patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morocco, under the theme ‘Equestrian Sports in Morocco’ and will continue until 21 of October. Qatar Racing & Equestrian Club (QREC) is the Platinum Sponsor of this 11th edition.
Ministry of Sports & Culture support QREC’s participation at Salon du Cheval
As the events of Day 2 started, His Excellency Issa bin Mohammed Al Mohannadi, QREC Chairman, said ‘We came to Morocco to share the efforts of our Moroccan counterparts in making this edition a success, especially as QREC is the Platinum Sponsor of this edition, which is held under the patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morocco. Our participation has been supported by the Ministry of Sports & Culture through His Excellency the Minister, Salah bin Ghanim Al Ali. The Ministry has provided the requirements for a successful participation by QREC and a bright image reflecting the objective of this participation, which came also in response to the invitation received from the organisers of the Salon. QREC has been participating in the Salon since the very first edition and that was 11 years ago. In other words, we have always been present at the Salon and there are several goals, which we look forward this year. I came with other members of our delegation and we all have felt the happiness of our Moroccan counterparts and friends with the presence of the Qatari delegation’.
‘This participation reflects the strong strategic relations between Qatar and Morocco as well as Qatar’s commitment to the equestrian-related heritage, especially as Qatar is a major leader in this field. Our participation is also part of the QREC’s association with overseas events in line with the QREC’s strategy and vision for such type of events. The exchange of expertise and collaboration between QREC and the Salon du Cheval are already in place and no doubt, this participation will enhance the cooperation between the two sides in favour of the Qatari and the Moroccan equestrian sports’, added QREC Chairman.
‘I reiterate that QREC is keen to be present at the Salon du Cheval through this Platinum Sponsorship and to utilise this edition of the Salon to further foster the relations with our counterparts and friends in Morocco. We also work towards increasing cooperation, assess the benefits of this participation and avoid any negatives. Again, I do thank the Ministry of Sports & Culture for supporting QREC in this participation and so adding to its benefits’, concluded His Excellency Issa bin Mohammed Al Mohannadi.
